An ePortfolio can be a powerful tool to organize your experiences and goals as an early childhood special educator/early interventionist (ECSE/EI). It can provide a platform to collect and reflect on your experiences and goals. Further, it can be an important tool to use within a job search.

The Welcome Page of your ePortfolio should include the following components:

  • A brief introduction of who you are.
  • An image of yourself
  • A brief summary of what can be found on your ePortfolio (i.e. Professional Philosophy, Education, Resume, and Contact Information).

As you design your ePortfolio, consider how to make it both professional and accessible to potential employers, family members, and colleagues. Choose a design and font that is easy to read and attractive.

You can check out exemplary examples of ePortolios created by students within the Communicative Disorders program -

Note that that you will take part in an ePortoflio workshop that will help you begin to develop your ePortfolio in SPED 777.
